Heading to DE for a duck hunt tomorrow
Haven't really done a ton of duck hunting this year, a few woodie hunts, some mallards etc... tried some diver action but it was too early for em. Well with this snow cover I'm headed to a little pond in DE outside of Dover and seeing what we can pull out of there, with any luck a decent spread for Christmas dinner.

We're gonna be trying to... but I'm just looking forward to a good time in the blind and getting to relax a bit. This is a meat hunt no filming or other distractions just me, the dog, some buddies and a bunch of story telling!

Most ponds over this way frozen stiff. If you have water you should mop them up Good Luck!

Good luck tomorrow! Maybe you can break up the ice if the water isn't too deep......

Re: Heading to DE for a duck hunt tomorrow
Still plenty of birds around that way today i hunted the st jones river just south of the dover air base had to do the lottery deal at little creek alot of big ducks and tons of blacks and a few mergansers. the wind was in our face all day it wasnt the best situation but we managed to pull in a mallard drake and hen my buddy tagged the drake i hit the hen but didnt drop it. steel doesn't wack em hard at all i was shootin 3.5 bb and the i think i heard the dumb thing laughin as it flew off. the impounds have thawed again and am tring to get a blind by the refuge area with about 5 dozen of my best plastic friends to hopefully pull birds. I will let you know how it goes.
